Puppy Wellness Packages

All puppies need to be examined and begin vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age.Vaccines are repeated every 3-4 weeks until they are 14-16 weeks of age.We also perform stool exams at each visit to ensure that the pet is free of disease causing intestinal parasites (which can also be a concern for human infection).We will discuss and begin monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

  • DHPP - Distemper/Hepatitis/Parvo/Parainfluenza Virus - Given 4 times during puppy series 3-4 weeks apart, Boosted at first annual then every 3 years until age 10 at which time it is discontinued
  • Rabies - one vaccination at final puppy visit then annually thereafter
  • Deworming - pyrantel/nemex at all but final puppy (minimum 2 treatments)
  • Bordetella - two vaccines at least 3 weeks apart to puppies who will frequent boarding or grooming facilities, dog parks, or come in contact with other dogs.

Kitten Wellness Packages

All kittens need to be examined and begin vaccines at 6-8 weeks of age.Vaccines are repeated every 3-4 weeks until they are 14-16 weeks of age.Kittens need to be tested for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) prior to administering vaccinations. We also perform stool exams at each visit to ensure that the pet is free of disease causing intestinal parasites (which can also be a concern for human infection).We will discuss and begin monthly heartworm and flea prevention.

  • FVRCP - Feline Rhinotracheitis, Calici and Panleukapenia Virus - Given 4 times during kitten series 3-4 weeks apart, Boosted at first annual then every 3 years until age 10 at which time it is discontinued.
  • FeLV- Feline Leukemia Virus -- After 9 weeks of age, Given twice during kitten series to all kittens; After one year if pet spends ANY time outdoors given annually thereafter until 10 years of age at which point it is discontinued.
  • Rabies - Give once during the kitten series after 16 weeks of age, then annually thereafter.
